We are overwhelmed with gratitude as we reflect on the incredible support and love our wedding party is bringing to our special day. We know it's because of your unwavering commitment and tireless efforts we will be able to pull this wedding off. From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for standing by us, for your laughter, and for being the extraordinary individuals that you are.
JEN: MAID OF HONOR
The first time I met Jen I was honestly a little afraid of her as her reputation preceded her. But after hanging out a few times, we bonded over our love of costume parties, quiz nights, and board games. Jen is always reading and harassing Julia about not reading the books she suggests.
JEANNETTE
Jeannette and I met 20 years ago on the first day of our teaching credential classes. In the ice breaker when I said, "My name is Julia and I sell knives," Jeanette yelled, "Julia Goulia!" to the class. We have been friends ever since and even lived together when she moved back to the Bay Area. We love going for a nice dinner and a musical at least once a year.
KRISTY
When Julia got her first teaching job at Crestmoor in San Bruno she taught sixth grade. There she met Kristy who was in her second year of teaching and was the fifth grade teacher.. Julia and Kristy worked closely together including creating a robust book club program. They have traveled to several countries together including going to South Africa for Kristy's wedding.
AMBER
Julia met Amber when she started Damien. They hit it off immediately and became friends as well. Amber is also a teacher and both are very into DIY classroom decor. Amber is a makeup expert and Julia is always in awe of her looks! Amber always has a positive outlook and keeps the good vibes going.
MICHELLE
Julia and Michelle have been friends since middle school. They remained close friends through high school and when Julia moved to San Diego for her teaching credential program they got a place together. Even though Michelle is VERY organized and a couple fires (one was a wild fire but the other was all Michelle) they lived together for an entire year and the friendship survived.
IAN: BEST MAN
Ian and I first met in middle school when I was at a classmate's house named JP who happened to be Ian's neighbor. We went over to play Goldeneye on N64 in Ian's garage with his brother Tyler. Later, when we were in the same high school we reconnected by being part of the same friends group.
We have endless stories from talking philosophy until the sun came up, to figuring out what a fun dinner is or is not.
I love him and his family
Ask him first about pancake breakfast with Teebs at his parents house, then about any film or movie
ANDREW
Technically my oldest friend, we met in 6th grade in Mr. Resch's band class. He was on Euphonium and I was on drums, but more importantly we bonded over making fun of Mr. Resch and some of the older kids in the drum section. Turns out we lived 3 blocks away from each other and ended up being great friends.
We were in a band together, we drove each other's cars in high school, we went on a wonderful bike camping trip that ended up with me going to an urgent care several days after. I even lived with his mom and brother!
Very long story very short, I love him and his family, and they have been hugely pivotal in my life.

MIKE
Technically my second oldest friend, we also met in 6th grade in Mr. Resch's class and also bonded over making fun of Resch and the older drummer kids. He was on the acoustic guitar which was not part of Resch's curriculum so Mike got chords yelled at him while we were playing classic middle school band songs.
Mike and I were also in a band, continued to jam big time in his family's poolhouse at ridiculous volumes and lengths, went to countless Dream Theater concerts, and share a love for barleywines.
Another very long story very short, I also love him and his family, and they have also been hugely pivotal in my life.

DAVE
Our father, David Marshall. Oh David. He has stories, skills, and a plethora of opinions. He was in a parallel friend group in high school and we really hit it off when I moved up to SF and was welcomed into the house David named 'Dolphin Village' for a week before SFSU started.
In our more adult life we have bonded over....a bunch of stuff? Vans, music, bicycles, video games.
I love him and I'm always looking forward to the most recent story he got into.
Like many, I love David
Ask him about installing engines
ALEXIO
Speaking of Dolphin Village, Alexio and I met there. I think it was their annual ugly sweater holiday party which you absolutely should ask any of these 5 about.
Alexio and I have grown very close through shared interests in what feels like just about everything. Hockey, video games, cocktail varietals, cats, computer components, general professionalism.
He may be the "newest" friend to me of my main men, but I cannot imagine my life without him and I love him very much.

OFFICIANT: Damien LeClerc
We really can't imagine anyone but Damien officiating - we admire his kindness, patience, and devotion to his family. He and Julia have been friends for more than 15 years after they met through friends of friends. He's married to one of the bridesmaids, Amber, and they have two adorable little boys. The four of us love playing games like Catch Phrase and Code Names
THE FLOWER GIRLS: Carmen
Carmen is Travis's cousin. Carmen is a bold and ambitious 14-year-old who enjoys watching and playing soccer and volleyball. She loves listening to music, watching a good murder mystery, and spending time with her friends and family. She is excited about starting high school in the Fall.
THE FLOWER GIRLS: Athena
Athena is a vibrant 12-year-old who enjoys playing soccer, flag football, volleyball, basketball. She is a funny and energetic young lady who loves to dance. Who needs Netflix, when you’ve got Athena. She is also Travis's cousin and Carmen's sister.
THE FLOWER GIRLS: Vivian
Vivian, the daughter of Jen, the maid of honor, can identify any flag's country. She affectionately refers to Julia as Auntie J. Vivian thrives on the soccer field and at the game table, mirroring her passion for sports and strategic challenges. Remarkably, she attends the same elementary school in Foster City that Jen and Julia once did, despite their paths not crossing back then.
